The Village of Oak Creek offers visitors and residents a world of things to do. VOC is home to two of Sedona’s famous vortex sites; Bell Rock and Cathedral Rock; where there are trails for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding. If you don't have a bike you can always rent one form Bike & Bean. Be sure to get a cup of coffee while you're there. Many visitors and residents also like to climb the rocks and sit on one of the numerous plateaus to just meditate and enjoy the views of the valley. If you do plan on hiking, be sure to bring water with you. Although we are in a mountainous area, this is a desert and the climate is very arid.
If you want to cool off on a hot summer day, a favorite spot is Red Rock Crossing, where Oak Creek winds its way around Cathedral Rock. If you follow Verde Valley School Road to the very end, where it becomes a dirt road, you will come upon the parking lots for Red Rock Crossing. (That’s the road directly across from the Marketplace Café which intersects the 179 at the Chase round-about. Red Rock Passes are required and can be purchased at Giant, Weber's and the Ranger Station on the 179.) When you reach Red Rock crossing you will be able to hike, swim and fish. Arizona does require fishing licenses and they are readily available in sporting goods stores, grocery stores and Wal-Mart.
For the more adventurous, visitors can rent a Harley from EagleRider of Sedona and explore places like Monument Valley, The Grand Canyon, Route 66, Jerome, and Oak Creek Canyon. EagleRider features a fleet of late model Harley Davidson Electra Glides, Road Kings and Heritage’s, all equipped for two-up touring.
 The Village of Oak Creek is also home to world class art galleries equivalent to any in Uptown Sedona. Among these is the Village Gallery located on the corner of Hwy 179 and Cortez Drive. The gallery displays works including oils, photography and sculpture created by local artists.
Not far from the Village of Oak Creek is the world famous Chapel of the Holy Cross, a very popular tourist site. The Chapel, which received the American Institute of Architects Award of Honor in 1957, was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright student Marguerite Brunswig Staude, an architect and sculptor. The Chapel is built into one of Sedona’s Red Rock mesas on Coconino Forest land.
The Village of Oak Creek also offers visitors world class shopping at its boutiques and the Oak Creek Outlet Mall. Also located in the Oak Creek Outlet Mall is the Canyon Moon Theater which offers guests professional theater productions year round.
Of course, there are several restaurants in VOC including the Marketplace Café where diners can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in a Hollywood theme decor. The Marketplace Café, a full service restaurant, offers diners reasonably priced menu items, something important when on vacation, is family friendly and is known for its excellent food, great service and friendly staff. The Marketplace Café – where all guests are celebrities.
